Glen Beach Camps Bay’s Surfing Beach

Glen Beach Camps Bay’s Surfing Beach
Camps Bay

Glen Beach is a sheltered stretch of white sand in Camps Bay, where you can escape the crowds. It is separated from Camps Bay’s northern end by massive granite boulders and although swimming is not advised, it is a popular spot for local surfers. There are stairs to access the beach from the main road.

The granite boulders that flank Glen Beach provide a windshield from the South Easter. Lion’s Head and the Twelve Apostles form a picturesque backdrop to the beach. Glen Beach is within walking distance to the many shops, restaurants and cocktail bars of Camps Bay. It is also within walking distance of the Theatre on the Bay. You can take a nice little walk from Glen Beach to the Clifton 4th Beach, via Maidens Cove and Bachelors Cove.
