Cotton and Ice. Sand and sequins. Beautiful, bronzed and a little bit blasphemous – it’s the Bungalow. Take balmy add a splash of bubbly stir in a breezy blonde pop in an oyster and it’s the Bungalow. Bungalicious if you will. Cool down that all over body blush by sipping a deliciously icy cocktail with an unpronounceable name. Wink and clink your way across the deck and take your table at the very edge of the continent. Breathe in. Yes. This is your life. To envisage the décor imagine Donna Karan marooned on an island with nothing but a chandelier and an axe. Baroque clashes with the Mediterranean and the bleach blonde exterior gives way to bare-skin opulence within. Curl up on a cushioned bench with your ex, or flaunt your latest on the sun dappled deck.

With a strong desire to provide quality steaks to the people of South Africa, and the realisation that there were no good Steakhouses in Durban, Manuel Savic set out to change the tide. Butcher Block was founded in 2003 by Manuel, and has since grown into a well-known and highly respected steakhouse company. Our meat is sourced from a well-respected and trusted supplier – who rear their own calves from young and feed them supplemental food with all the correct nutrients to build a healthy, strong immune system – resulting in good quality, healthy meat for your palate.
Little Havana is a contemporary and stylish, award-wining Steak House set above our Pintxada Restaurant in Granada Square in Umhlanga Village. Voted as the Best Steakhouse in South Africa by Wolftrap in 2015, you can expect world class grills and seafood served with the very best of local South African wines. Expect a splash of Cuba, a dash of plantations and a slice of KwaZulu-Natal colonialism. This is where South Africans celebrate birthdays, men propose, business people cut deals and families love to eat together. We are proud of our own in-house butchery where Little Havana’s free-range hormone-free meats are processed and aged.
The Drostdy is a well-known landmark, not only in Stellenbosch but throughout the whole of South Africa. In April 1996 an enormous change took place at the Dros with the formation of the ‘Dros Concept’, a combination between a wine cellar and a restaurant. The founder and owner, Mr Hein Krugmann, want to present the public with a truly South African concept accessible to all ages and tastes. This concept proved successful as many people from all over the country, as well as overseas visitors, frequented the Dros. This in turn led to the franchising of this unique restaurant. The concept behind the design is to combine Stellenbosch wine cellars with food and a warm ambience using décor unique to the Cape Wine Route, complete with wine cellar characteristics, to create an atmosphere typical to that of a wine cellar. The highly competitive tourist market in the Cape requires food of outstanding quality and excellent service, both of which are major priorities at the Dros. Few companies in the food industry can match the record growth and profitability shown by the Dros since inception. During the past few years the Dros Restaurants gross sales have expanded significantly and net income […]
