Burst Geyser at your home? Here are the warning signs you should be aware of
Running out of Warm Water
Most common indication of a problem in a geyser is the inability to supply hot water. Most water heaters are 150L– 200L in size which is a lot of warm water but over time mineral deposits build-up around the heating element, less and less heat reaches the water and the warm water supply decreases.
Eventually, the constant heating causes the Geyser to leak, or the element itself needs to be replaced.

Noisy Geyser
Noisy geysers are also a very common issue in geysers. This is also because of the same reason and that is mineral deposits. These deposits prevent the water from heating and thereby resulting in the tank to overheat. It causes the failure and leakage in the tank.

Cloudy or Warm water that smells
Smelly and cloudy water is also a warning of a broken water geyser.

Rusting and Leaking geyser or valves and fittings
Rusting is inevitable at some time your geyser will rust because of the water and steel which the geyser is made from. Corrosion can be prevented with an anode rod found in the geyser but it will at some point lead to corrosion due to natural causes. These corrosive forces will attach to the tank and its connections leading to the tank to leak or burst.

Faulty Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve (TP Valve).
A temperature and pressure relief valve is present in every geyser as well as a safety relief valve that helps to release the pressure. Your geyser can explode like a small bomb if you overlook a faulty or capped off safety valve. Never cap off a temperature and pressure relief valve, you must upgrade any faulty or leaking values.

Leaking water from your Geyser.
Leakage in the geyser is the most usual sign that you need professional assistance. If not upgraded on time, a leaking geyser can even flood your home.
