Mouille Point has a unique flavour, with its eclectic mix of deli, restaurants, hair salons, spa and boutiques. Visitors will experience a sense of community in one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Whether it is sunbathing on the beach, kayaking or enjoying a gourmet coffee, Mouille Point has something for everyone to enjoy. It is a relatively small suburb with Beach Road and Bay Road as its only two major roads.
The Green Point lighthouse is located here while the Mouille Point lighthouse, once located to the far end of the suburb, is no longer in existence. By tradition, the new lighthouse erected in this vicinity could not have the same name, and was named the Green Point lighthouse. This is now the oldest operational lighthouse in South Africa, and is often used as a landmark by locals when giving directions in the area.
