Hendersons has a long history and a great story to be told! The building was built more than 100 years ago, originally to be used as a school. In its early days, it was also temporarily used as a clinic or hospital. This was evident when old medicine bottles and ink bottles were found when lifting the original wooden floors. It was known as the “Pienk Skool” primary school until the mid seventies and then rented out as storage, offices, etc. The property was thereafter bought by Sam & Martha Henderson (original owners of the WIMPY Restaurant next door) and development of Hendersons Country Lodge started. The first two rooms were completed and rented out in 1996. Management has since been taken over by the second generation of Hendersons, with 10 years experience in the hospitality industry. Today it embraces the essence of luxury living: 6 spacious en-suite rooms with modern finishes, white percale linen and LED HD TVs. It has subsequently been renamed to Hendersons Boutique Lodge, where comfort and style take precedence!
