A friendly and homely atmosphere that came naturally for owners Dirk & Adri Winterbach, this coupled with consistent, professional, hands-on service, became the recipe and reason for the rapid growth of the Lodge.
Within just a few years Crowthorne lodge went from six rooms to the largest privately owned Lodge/Hotel with Conference Venue, in Midrand. Thanks to all the regular guest from large corporations for returning and thank you for your wonderful word of mouth which snowballed so quickly… much appreciated. Of course the beautiful rooms, traditional home cooked dinners (every day), friendly energetic staff who are so committed to keeping standards high (the same people that started in 2008), an efficient shuttle service (4 busses), Our “No Noise Policy” – ensuring a good rest, and last but surely not least,

Here you will be introduced to other business people, relax and unwind, swim in our heated pool, have a drink, play some pool, darts, ping pong and join in good conversation. All this happens in a friendly, controlled and decent environment in which everyone, especially ladies travellers, feels comfortable and safe. Our professional staff and guards have been tested over the years and were proven to be excellent and trustworthy, they all contribute to safe accommodation and the controlled and relaxed environment.
Our first-time guests are always pleasantly surprised at their first glimpse of the rooms. Extra length king-size beds, proper cupboards, proper study nook, kitchenette, beautiful bathroom, air-conditioning, fridge, microwave, induction kettle always impress.
We have specific areas for socialising and for those that go to bed later in the evening. Therefore, we do not allow any noise at any time in rooms or near the room areas.
This is our No Noise Policy and guarantee a good rest every night. To top it off, the surroundings are so peaceful and quiet you can hear a pin drop at night. Our Breakfast is ready at 6h15, this works for avoiding the hectic Midrand traffic.
We also serve scrumptious dinners every night, so… no need to drive around, looking for a restaurant and dine alone.
After a long day … join us in the bar area, share in good conversation, play pool, darts, Ping-Pong … we also have a heated pool, space to exercise or play soccer.
You need to get your colleagues out of the office… out to a quiet country setting. Many possibilities, but the drive and risk involved! Crowthorne Lodge is right here, 5 minutes from the Dros… right under your nose. But that’s not all. we will shuttle your delegates, serve them a full hot buffet breakfast, and set them up in our five-star quality rooms if longer than a day, cancelling all traffic and late starts. This is a beautiful setting with ample parking and space for activities.
FACILITIES –
Crowthorne Lodge has smaller conference rooms, for up to 16 delegates and then larger rooms for 50 to 70 delegates on tables. Then, of course, the Cadillac room is the pride and joy of the Lodge and accommodates 120 delegates on tables. All the rooms are acoustically treated and professionally sound proofed.
