Both trip’s are about 2 hours long.
The Gansbaai trip is with a smaller group of 25 people which offers a more personal trip compared to being with 70 people on the Hermanus trip.
You can pay cash for both trips. You only pay for the trip on arrival to Gansbaai or Hermanus. This is because the trips are weather dependant, so we would not want you to take payment in advance in the event the trip gets canceled due to bad weather conditions. All we need is your credit card details to secure the booking. Your C.C will NOT be debited.
The probability of seeing Southern Right Whales is very High but can never be guaranteed as we are dealing with wild animals in their Natural Habitat. Since Gansbaai have already started the whale season. There have been 4 – 6 whales spotted for every trip.
It’s about 120 km drive to Hermanus from Cape Town City Centre and about 163 km to Gansbaai from Cape Town City Centre.
For more information on each trip please visit our website www.whalewatchinghermanus.co
We will give you directions for you and all the neccasary information for your trip once you confirm your booking.
If you are in Cape Town for a few days I would make the booking as early as possible to give yourself a few days if the trip is cancelled due to bad weather so you can reschedule for the following day when weather improves.
